Today in class, students in Integrated science took a retake of the week 20 quiz after reviewing the answers to the Ohm’s Law Lab. Then students reviewed how a parallel circuit will increase its current and decrease resistance overall if there are branches added. This culminated in a demo showing how a circuit breaker works. KABOOM! This weekend for homework, students will practice doing calculations for series and parallel circuits with the Finding V I and R worksheet.

Students in science 8 also took a quiz retake after reviewing the answers to the Relative Dating Practice homework. Students then read over the Half-life of a Penny activity and began to do a modified version of the lab using paper clips. Over the weekend, students who earned a 5 or less out of 8 on the Relative Dating Practice homework will need to redo their work and write out the laws that accompany each event to earn back credit.
