November 1

It is first day of NOVEMBER! Students in Integrated science worked on their labs confirming or disproving Galileo’s experiments, and some groups began work on their lab reports as well.

Science 8 students spent time seeing different plate boundaries and the features that are present there. Mr. Ross also taught some hand signs to learn the types of features created at convergent plate boundaries as well. Students were asked to infer what type of boundaries they saw based on features that were in that area. Students finished class by working on their annotations for the articles Quake provides test for tsunami prediction and What sent Hawaii’s mountain chain east? Science 8 students have an extra credit opportunity this week: Complete the Virtual Earthquake Lab and send me the certificate of completion via email, and they will earn credit based on the quality of their work.

E/I worked on the  Organic vs. Conventional Farming Debate.
