Today in class, science 8 students worked on their Meiosis flipbooks, which are going to be due at the end of class tomorrow. The students who finished studied for their mitosis/meiosis quiz which will be Wednesday.

Integrated students today graded their homework on naming ionic compounds and creating the Lewis Dot diagrams for them. After grading the Ionic compounds – writing and naming homework, students learned how to name covalent compounds, and then we learned some covalent bonding Lewis Dot diagrams. Students will be more challenged by these because of the single, double, and triple bonds that can form. Tonight, they will complete the Covalent Bonding Worksheet , Naming Covalent Compounds Worksheetand the Naming Covalent Compounds Notes and Lewis Dot Worksheet.pdf.

HOMEWORK: Science 8=Meiosis Flipbook:quiz review. The flipbook will be due Tuesday, and there will be a quiz Wednesday over mainly mitosis, but some meiosis as well. (Cells Alive!)
